Contribute $2 or more to rally Americans behind the biggest fix
needed in America: Ending control of government policies by
self-serving major campaign donors...who thereby stymy the
U.S. from reaching its awesome potential! What are you doing
to take back your political power so your elected officials
work for you? Do something here!!
Do you like the idea that the Supreme Court has given virtual carte blanche to the wealthy and to corporations to buy the policies and politicians of America with overwhelming amounts of campaign donations and advertising? We believe it makes a travesty of democracy. Fix Our America is therefore undertaking an advertising and marketing campaign to rally most Americans to end the rampant "legalized bribery" role of private, corporate and union money in elections - the utterly essential key to real progress on most other important matters.
Please donate to buy more air time for our TV spot and web ad space for our niche market campaign as your role in ending (rather than passively allowing) money-bought lawmaking and paid-for policies on our major issues - and as your personal way to help restore real America democracy. All donations go solely to purchase media time and space.

Facts in the video about voting patterns are based on research by campaign finance tracking organizations (see list) as well as by Fix Our America.
Facts about time spent by elected officials raising money are based on research by clean election organizations and statements by politicians themselves. For example, Democratic Party leaders in December, 2012 gave to new members of Congress a written statement and chart on how they are to spend their time. Almost 5 hours a day out of an 8 or 9 hour work day was designated for fund raising. This activity takes place on your payroll dime during hours when lawmakers are paid to do your business. In reality, they and their equally-diverted Republican counterparts work primarily for their big campaign donors - without whom they wouldn't be in or be able to return to office in the first place.

FROM SENATOR SHERROD BROWN (D-Ohio) "....Courage is in pretty short supply anyway in Congress and....if somebody here's got guts and stands up and takes on an interest group that's powerful here, win or lose in terms of the issue... the companies are going to come in and take him out or come close to taking him out." Brown at another point added: "It is not much of an exaggeration that 90% of what gets done in Congress is on behalf of the rich and powerful."
